Eggs of rice leaf folder were laid in singly and clusters of 2 to 4 and maximum (48.2%) were laid on lower surface of leaf. Full grown larvae was measured 15.55 mm in length and 1.23 mm in breadth. Male pupae was longer than female pupae. The adult moths male and female measures about 8.65 mm and 7.31 mm in length and width is 2.01 mm and 1.78 mm, respectively. The larval survival was 56.6/with 89.5% moth emergence. The pre-oviposition, oviposition and post oviposition were 1.8, 4.4 and 2.5 days, respectively average fecundity of 100.6/female. The adult moth had slender body golden yellow with black wing margins in the apical region. Males are brighter than females, wing span measured about 15 to 16 mm and 15 to 17 mm, respectively.
