Abstract

The possibility of using Potassium humate as an environmentally friendly nematode control measures and improved crop yield was tested under field conditions in chilli. Humic acid products are powerful fungal stimulant and biological benefits in relation to nematode management. Two g of potassium humate/kg soil was found to be effective in reducing the gall index and nematode population. All the dosage of potassium humate had a significant effect in terms of nematode reduction. It was observed that potassium humate at 20 kg/ha recorded highest yield with minimum soil population. Potassium humate reduced the nematode infestation by 33.3% and increased the yield by 60.9%.
