Abstract

In the present study, four cultivars namely KOPM 8, KOPN 21, BK 5 and JK 137 were found resistant to BLSB under artificial inoculations. Soil application of bioagents was more effective than only seed treatment to reduce the BLSB incidence. Soil application of value added Pseudomonas fluorescens + Trichoderma viride + Bacillus subtilis @ 335 g each of formulation mixed in 25 kg FYM, incubated for 15 days and applied over an area of 1 ha at the time of sowing was found best and reduced the 55.9% BLSB incidence with an increase of 27.0% in grain yield. Soil application of Trichoderma viride or Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 1 kg formulation/ha at the time of sowing was the next best treatment and reduced the BLSB incidence 54.3% and 51.7%, respectively.
