Tolfenpyrad 15 EC @ 150 g a.i./ha, cartap hydrochloride 50 SP @ 375 g a.i./ha and acephate 75 SP @ 375 g a.i./ha treatments emerged clearly superior over other insecticide treatments and untreated control in suppressing jassid population up to 15 days after spraying (DAS) during both the seasons. The number of jassids/5 leaves in 3 superior treatments varied from 1.17–1.44 and 1.33–1.67 with a reduction of 75.5 to 80.1 and 75.1 to 80.1% over control (5.67, 7.00) during kharif, 2016 and rabi, 2016–17 seasons, respectively at 15 DAS.
