Abstract

In pot culture study, imidacloprid 17.8 SL (0.00712%) was superior in reducing the population of thrips and mealy bug with % reduction of 77.8 and 81.4% over control. Among bio pesticides spinosad 45% SC (0.0125%) was effective in reducing the thrips population (49.5%) and mealy bug population (71.0%). followed by azadirachtin 10000 ppm (0.02%) (42.9%). Thiamethoxam 25 WG (0.005%) followed by dimethoate 30% EC (0.06%) were effective against aphids. Whereas, spinosad 45% SC (0.0125%) was superior among bio pesticides in reducing the population of aphids with % reduction of 56.1% over control. Thiamethoxam 25 WG (0.005%) was observed in the control of whitefly with the population reduction of 71.9%.
