A study was carried out to test the efficacy of chemicals and bio-rational insecticides against hopper Idioscopus spp. Infesting mango cv Amrapali. The treatments Thiamethoxam 25 WG 0.008% and clothianidin 50 WDG 0.0075% were found most effective against mango hopper. Moreover, acetamiprid 20 SP 0.01%, lambda-cyhalothrin 5 EC 0.003% and diafenthiuron 50 WP 0.05% were next effective treatments against mango hopper. The treatments like azadirachtin 10,000 PPM and L. lecanii (1x108 CFU/g) were found least effective against mango hopper.
