Abstract

Aeromycological survey of a cabbage field was carried out for two consecutive crop seasons (Nov.1999-Mar.2000 and Nov.2000-Mar.2001) in Imphal using Rotorod Air Sampler. A total of 27 fungal spore types were identified. Dominant fungal types were Cladosporium, Aspergilli-Penicilli, rust spores, smut spores, Humicola, basidiospores, ascospores, Alternaria, Periconia, Geotricum etc. Changes in meteorological parameters affect the occurrence and distribution of airborne fungi quantitatively.
