Abstract

This study deals with the effect of leaf extract of Datura metel Linn. on certain fungi and bacteria. Aspergillus flavus has shown 75 per cent growth inhibition at 15 per cent concentration, Fusarium oxysporum produced 50 per cent growth inhibition at 5, 10 and 15 per cent concentration. Enterobacter aerogenes showed 50 per cent growth inhibition at 5, 10 and 15 per cent concentration, Escherichia coli produced 50 per cent growth inhibition at 10 and 15 per cent concentration.
