Information and communication technology in higher education of Uttar Pradesh

Information and communication technology (ICT) is necessary in today’s world, influencing every aspect of our existence. Without the ubiquitous influence of technology, which moulds our everyday lives and affects education, healthcare, agriculture and economy, our modern existence would be unthinkable. ICT, especially in education, has completely changed how we teach and learn by acting as a central repository for knowledge and information. The main topic of this study is how important ICT is to raising the standard of higher education. In order to accomplish this goal, a survey was carried out to collect primary data from university students in the Uttar Pradesh districts of Barabanki, Sitapur, Sultanpur, and Lucknow. Instrument of collecting data, both scheduled offline surveys and online questionnaires were used. Participants in this study comprised both males and females with a range of academic backgrounds from universities. The results demonstrate that ICT is affordable and reduces the cost of education. It also helps students by serving as an educational tool, adapting to a variety of skill levels, and assisting them in maintaining their expenses by taking up part-time work. The results highlight the value of ICT and show how it can raise university standards.
