The Impact of Social Media on the Lives of Senior Citizens: An Indian Perspective

Abstract

Social networking has spread throughout the world in recent years, reaching a wide range of populations, including senior adults. Social media integration has changed how people in India, where a sizable section of the population is over 60, interact, communicate, and engage with the outside world. This study looks at both the advantages and disadvantages of social media use among senior adults in India. The study intends to comprehend how social media sites like Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp affect older people’s social connectivity, mental health, and cognitive ability.
