Changing pedagogies in the digital era

There has been a paradigm shift in the manner and methods of teaching in the classroom- be it at the school or college level. There has been a sea change from traditional chalk and board method to smart and interactive boards and now even virtual classrooms. This has changed not only the class environment but also the teacher -taught relationship has changed its dimensions. Hence, in this backdrop it has become imperative for the teachers to innovate and change their teaching styles so that technology does not make them obsolete. The present paper is an attempt to highlight these changes and the challenges that teachers are facing in the digital era alongwith giving them suggestions to overcome these challenges.
