Radio frequency identification (RFID) is one of the fastest growing and most beneficial technologies being adopted by business today. RFID is a wireless technology that operates on frequency 50 KHz to 2.5 GHz. It exchanges data wirelessly. It offers variety of application i.e. Access system (subways-ticket, car keys, building entry) and payment system (car toll payment, speed pass, credit card and library checkout). This paper provides summary of RFID technology, advantage & disadvantage over other technology. Students Arriving/Leaving safely Message Service System using RFID technology has been discussed in this paper. It operates in the frequency range of 2.4–2.4835 GHz.It has a range of 2-50m. This system makes it convenient for the parents, school managing committee to keep record of student's attendance, informs them if the students arrive or leave the school safely or not, teachers and parents can communicate with each other, and parents can be informed regarding the student performance or behavior in class. At one time more than 250 tags can be identified. It can also identify the object moving at a speed of 200Km/hour. This paper also describes the implementation challenges, benefits and reliability of this system.
