The purpose of this study is to provide an insight into various aspects of Developmental and Reward based activities and employees job satisfaction. To be more specific, it studies on effectiveness of training programs, employee empowerment, rewards, organisational support and technology on the job satisfaction of employees of the organisation. The paper defines various factors included in the study and highlights some of the main points of the literature. The conceptual model and the hypotheses are developed based on the existing literature. The model consists of developmental and reward based activities that affect employee's job satisfaction. The developmental and reward based activities consists of existing training programs, employee empowerment, rewards, organisational support and technology. This paper comprehensively examines the research in employee job satisfaction and provides a conceptual framework for future research From the hypotheses testing, it showed that there is significantly positive relationship between some of the independent variables and dependent variable i.e. employee job satisfaction. The findings showed that reward is not significantly related to employee job satisfaction. In light of these findings, the paper discusses the practical implications and focuses on recommendations how important various factors are for the job satisfaction of the employees. It will be of critical importance for future practitioners to understand the increasingly complex variety of factors underlying the employee's job satisfaction. Future research is suggested to apply the proposed model in other organisational settings, and to explore the role of different variables on the betterment of the employees and the organisations. The study fills the gap in the literature about the variables affecting employee job satisfaction.
