Abstract

The present study employs the technique of WQI to provide the overall quality of water. The evaluation of physico-chemical parameters values were within or below permissible limits which was also confirmed by WQI indicated that the water of the reservoir was oligotrophic in nature and an ideal source for drinking and irrigation purposes. The adequate nutritional load of the water would suffice a balanced growth of micro and macro organisms and provides a well-balanced and sustained aquatic ecosystem.
