Abstract

The Indian Food Industry is poised to enter a sweet spot with an unprecedented opportunity for explosive growth. India is witnessing the favorable coming together of several demographic factors: rising disposable income, more young people, and growing urbanization. This is expected to lead to a substantial rise in food demand over the next seven to ten years. At the same time, factors such as growing awareness, health consciousness, the need for convenience, and improving lifestyles are shifting consumers toward processed and packaged foods.
