Abstract

In the current scenario the population of the world is increasing day by day. To meet the needs of this increasing population the consumption of natural resources also increased as the result of which the environment has been affected badly. The adverse effect on the environment leads to many other problems with it such as global warming, environmental degradation, and loss of sustainability. Green Finance is one of the emerging tools of finance for fighting against environmental problems. Green Finance is that branch of finance that includes all those practices of finance through which environmental friendly externalities can be obtained. The objective of this study is to explore the journey of green finance in India. This study is based on secondary data which was collected through previously published articles, journals, and from various websites.
