Abstract

ESAF is a Small Finance Bank (SFB) providing banking services and small loans to people, especially rural people, through microfinance. ESAF started its operations as a non-governmental organization in 1992 as Evangelical Social Action Forum (ESAF). Before becoming a bank, ESAF was a non-banking finance company and microfinance institution. This paper attempts to analyse the operational and financial performance of ESAF SFB. The study is based purely on secondary data covering the period of 2017 to 2020.
