Bhagalpur is considered the hub of textile weavers in Bihar. It has a substantial history of genesis spanning centuries. Despite being one of the oldest industries, it has failed to grow due to multiple socioeconomic challenges faced by the poor weavers in the area. Entrepreneurship in the weaving sector would bring opportunities for the loomless wage weavers who wander to every small independent weaver during crises and in times of unavailability of work. Entrepreneurship is rare due to high capital requirements and investments in this sector. Establishing a weaving unit can only be done by people who are interested and have a very good financial background, which is rare in this area. The study has looked into the major income determinants of entrepreneur weavers and their impact on stimulating investments either by private companies or the government itself.
