Abstract

Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative digital innovation with the potential to redefine modern management systems. Traditional management frameworks often face challenges such as lack of transparency, centralized control, data manipulation, and inefficiencies in decision-making processes. In this context, blockchain offers a decentralized, immutable, and transparent approach to data handling, enabling secure and trustworthy management practices. This paper presents a comprehensive review of blockchain applications in modern management systems from a computer application perspective. It examines key domains including financial management, supply chain management, human resource systems, healthcare, and e-governance. The study highlights how blockchain enhances transparency, traceability, and automation through smart contracts and distributed ledger technologies. Furthermore, it critically evaluates challenges such as scalability, interoperability, regulatory uncertainty, and implementation complexity. The paper also explores emerging research directions involving integration with artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. The findings suggest that blockchain has the potential to significantly improve efficiency, accountability, and security in management systems, provided that technological and regulatory barriers are effectively addressed.
