Abstract

It is energy that drives everything to work, thus, people try to alter the natural flow energy to suit their needs. Among the various applications developed is a vehicle. This paper is all about harnessing lost energy when the vehicle loses speed without reversing the process in an engine. The simplest method is to recover this energy without transforming it to another form. The mechanical energy of the vehicle can be stored as kinetic energy, which can be used again for acceleration. It does not produce perpetual motion because of entropy, but it decreases the energy lost when the vehicle brakes and reduces the speed. Instead of releasing energy as heat through the brakes, the rotating flywheel stores it. The idea of how a Flywheel's Kinetic Energy can be Stored and used for Regenerative Braking on any vehicle is explored with the experimental setup.
