Abstract

To Know whether a person is speaking the truth is one of the main areas of criminal investigation. Forensic scientists have kept developing newer techniques to fulfill this goal. During the last few years, there have been quite a few methods that have been developed for this purpose. Narcoanalysis, polygraph testing and brain mapping are some of them. The present article discusses the pros and cons of these techniques and their validity in the court of law.
