Development of a Qualitative Method for Detection of Lorazepam By GC-MS

In a case o/poisoning, a small quantity o/gastric lavage was received in CFSL, Chandigarh for analysis and detection o/poison. Since, the amount o/sample was limited, only targetedanalysis was carried out cautiously. The sample containeddrug beyondthe limits o/conclusive evidence by routine methods. After gettingfoint indication o/poison to be a benzodiazepine drug by TLC, GC-MS analysis was carried outfor the conclusive evidence.
