Abstract

The pattern and characteristic of physical injuries of different age at different sites over the body which are of non- accidental in nature are discussed in this paper. In addition to physical injuries, there is also deprivation of nutrition, affection, care, treatment and sexual abuse to the victim. This focuses attention on relatively rare type of such cases. Such non-accidental injuries to a child may be useful to establish the relationship between causative factors, for e.g. social economical and psychological etc.
