Abstract

Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless, and tasteless product of incomplete fuel combustion, whose ubiquitous but silent presence accounts for it being the leadingcauseofpoisoningdeath in the developed countries. CO poisoning may be deliberate or accidental. Here two fatal cases of acute CO poisoning were described in which the victims kicked themselves in a room in order to protect themselves from afire accident only to get poisoned by this silent killer.
