Stevens-Johnson syndrome is a rare life-threatening condition affecting the skin in which celldeath causes the epidermis to separate from the dermis. We report a fatal case of Stevens-Johnson syndrome that developed in a 48-year-old man after treatment in a hospital for injuries produced by accidentally fallfom staircase in a shop. The findings at autopsy were described and literature regarding this condition reviewed.
