Abstract

Botulinum toxin, one of the most deadly toxins known to man is a neurotoxin, causes the disease botulism and can be used as a weapon of bioterrorism. There are three different types of botulism (infant, wound, food borne). Following article tries to highlight the importance of proper history taking and examination of the patient and also shows the snaps of eyes of the patient (ptosis) before and after the treatment that came to our hospital with alleged history of snake bite poisoning but later on diagnosed as a case of food borne botulism.
