Abstract

The drugs which act on central nervous system are known as CNS drugs. Zolpidem Tartrate is classified as CNS drug. In the present work the cream biscuit mixed with Zolpidem Tartrate is studied by using TLC and HPTLC method. The solvent system used is Chloroform: Ethyl acetate: Acetone (8:1:1) and Dragendorff ’s reagent is used for spraying on TLC plate which shows orange colored spot at the Rf value 0.4. The developed method was applied to spiked cream biscuit sample and satisfactory results were obtained.
