Abstract

On 2/10/2012 Department of Forensic Medicine Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) Belgaum, received requisition to conduct post mortem examination on a boy aged 15yrs. Information furnished by police – the boy died on the way to BIMS hospital Belgaum, to which place he was referred following failure of treatment while treating an abscess on left gluteal region. On postmortem examination left gluteal shows a full blown complication caused by intramuscular injection. On persistent questioning of the police, they came out with shocking answers though reluctantly.

Death of a boy with no fatal injury or disease, but succumbing to death 2 days after receiving an injection by a QUACK comes as an unfortunate and shocking event in today's world.
