Children constitute the most vulnerable section of the society and are considered a supremely important asset of our nation eventhough child abuse is prevalent in every segment of the society and is witnessed in all social, ethnic, religious and professional strata. The purpose of this report is to review the different types of child abuse, oral and dental aspects of physical and sexual abuse and dental neglect and the role of dentists in evaluating such conditions.
