Deaths in children and adolescents have always been concern for the society. With the objective to analyse profile of children and adolescent deaths, present study was conducted at tertiary centre from January 2011 to December 2012. 339 cases were studied from age group of 0 to 18 years. 235 cases (69.32%) accounted for accidental deaths, followed by 46 cases (13.56%) committed suicides. Suicide was common in age group of 16–18 years (n=36), while homicidal deaths were maximum in tender age of 0–3 years (n=11). 71 cases (20.94%) succumbed to head injury, followed by thermal injuries (n=57, 16.81%). Results from this study may aid in determining where and how to direct efforts in curbing unnatural deaths in children.
