Medicolegal manual having guidelines and protocols are documents based upon scientific evidence while fulfilling requirements of the law and is aimed at improving the quality of medicolegal services by offering support in the form of decision making. This paper appraises and highlights some of the important provisions included in the recently promulgated “Haryana Medico legal Manual 2012”, which is applicable to all the doctors practising in the state and is intended to be of binding in nature.
