This study explored medical students’ perspective and knowledge on forensic autopsy. 500 students studying 2nd MBBS 3rd semester, 3rd MBBS part 1 & 2 and Intern doctors participated in the study voluntary. Students were asked to respond anonymously to structured questionnaire which dealt with their view on the autopsy practice, perception, knowledge, attitude and awareness toward Forensic Autopsy. In present study, majority of students aware of the situations in which Forensic autopsy is mandatory as per law and taking out viscera for chemical and histopathological examination. Majority of students agreed that postmortem examination is necessary in medical education but majority students don't want to choose Forensic medicine as a carrier by doing post graduation in Forensic Medicine.
