Our studyaimed at comparison study of classical types (loops, arches, whorls and mixed or composite) of finger prints of some Egyptian and Libyans peopole.
In our study, we made 200 cases of finger prints from 200 lybian persons (100 males and 100 females with age range from 18 years to 50 years) and 200 cases of finger prints from 200 egyptian persons (100 males and 100 females with age range from 18 years to 50 years). These cases were collected in forensic medicine department of Cairo Governate in Egypt and forensic medicine department of Tripoli Governate in Lybia after taking consent from those persons.
The photos of all finger prints were analyzed regarding their types (loops, arches, whorls and mixed or composite). Comparative study between the two main groups of Egyptian and lybian finger prints in details were done using statistical analysis programmes.
The results concluded that there was significant differences between males and females of the two countries regarding arch type of finger prints while it was no significant differences among other types of finger prints between the two countries. This result may be interpretated by the close relationship between the two countries or due to absence of racial differences between the two countries. Our study recommendfurther study regarding comparative study between Egyptian and Lybian finger prints of persons in large number of cases using modern tecniques of technology to show more details about these types of finger prints of the two countries.
