Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the enamel print pattern in the deciduous teeth based on Deuteromalay sub-race population. The descriptive research design was done on 31 post-extracted deciduous anterior teeth of Deuteromalay sub-race population that visited the Pediatric Installation in Dental hospital at Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung, Indonesia. Study was conducted using microphotography technique and software SourceAFIS-1.7.0. The result is compared from the research done byManjunath et al. In conclusion, the most prominent enamel print pattern for deciduous teeth of Deuteromalay sub-race population is 29.5% wavy-branched and the least is a 2.9% whorl-open pattern.
