The holistic approach sometimes is used to provide an effective treatment to some of incurable diseases. There can be different perspective from the view point of patients, clinicians and diseases for guiding the holistic approach. There is certain knowledge and communication gap in this approach and all of them must be cautiously studied followed by scientific research to add in efficacy and safety of such an approach otherwise there would be many medico legal issues arising out of this leading the troubles to the treating doctor as well. Therefore the entire gamut of holistic treatment may be shifted to an updated modern version of practice which is well versed and touching on the scope of all of these issues.
