Strabismus a major ocular binocularity problems that also affects quality of life (QoL) of individuals. This study includes 27 individuals aged 18 to 60 years with strabismus, aims to determine the type of strabismus and its possible impacts in adults, focusing primarily on QoL. They were assessed for direction and constancy of deviation through uncover-cover test and were asked to answer the AS-20 questioning technique, which contains 10 questions related to psychosocial aspects and 10 questions evaluating functional aspects. Out of the total recruited, 51.85% of them were female and the mean age of the individuals was 30.31 (±5.09). In all, 92.5% of cases had an exodeviation and 51.85% had intermittent tropia. The mean total AS-20 score was 68.61 which is lower than the threshold score of 85. Of the sub-scales, the mean score for AS-20 psychosocial was 62.69 (±9.51) and for AS20 function was 74.54 (±8.30). Both psychosocial and function sub-scale scores are also lower than threshold score of 95 and 75 respectively. The overall results showed that the quality of life status of individuals with strabismus is lower than those visually normal adults from both psychosocial and functional perspective Hence showing why treatment for strabismus is necessary, irrespective of persons age, gender and type of deviation otherwise that will effect with the well-being of the individual functionally and socially.
