The current research was conducted on Minangs, an indigenous ethnic group in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Handprints, fingerprints and footprints are usually found in crime scenes that help to identify the criminal or perpetrator. The current research developed regression equations to determine stature from hand anthropometry among Minangs. Examination of handprint impressions is particularly important for identification and hence hand and handprint researches are going all over the world. Literature review shows that no stature study was conducted on Minang population. This study involved 100 males and 100 females with age ranging from 18 years to 60 years. Stature and measurements from hand dimensions were taken and analysed the data by using SPSS version 25. This study concluded with the development of regression formulae to determine stature from hand anthropometry.
