‘Vulnerable population’ is abandoned, neglected and abused section of the society. The stance of these marginalized becomes further complicated, if person is destitute, child, deserted elderly or comatose. Courts refer legislative instruments like constitution, conventions and judgments to protect their rights regarding health care needs. This is due to absence of specific laws about medico-legal issues of informed consent for each condition of vulnerability. Socio-ethics of consent in treating vulnerable is researched widely but study about medico-legal aspects related thereto, is seriously warranted owing dearth of discreet scientific literature.
