In this study, the survey method was used. The survey form was designed and circulated through social media online platforms. That form consists of 15 general questions that can be answered by any person.
Maximum people use Non-Prescription Medicine for general use like in cold, headache, stomach ache, toothache, acidity, etc. Most people directly buy these medicines from the pharmacy shops and some of them get these medicines from their friends and families. Most shocking thing is that some people didn't even read the instructions before using the medicines and most of the pharmacists didn't ask why they need these medicines or which problem they are facing. Even some people feel dependent on these medicines and some of them misuse these medicines also which is very harmful to their lives.
This study was done only in India and every age group participated in this survey mainly students. From this study, researchers came to know that many people use Non-Prescription Medicine for general use and also feel dependent on that and some of them also misuse these medicines. The purpose of this study is to inform each and everyone about the use of Non-Prescription Medicine and how harmful it is for any individual.
