Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault or DFSA is a despicable act committed when the user is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In state of intoxication consent might/not be acquiredby the perpetrator. The drugs that are commonly used for DFSA act as a CNS depressant which makes the consumer unaware of the surrounding and might also cause short term amnesia. The metabolism of such drugs is intricate and perplexed making their detection arduous. Hence, such drugs are an ideal choice for the perpetrators. Escalating Cases of DFSA is a grievous concern and demands wider dissemination of knowledge and awareness.
