Autopsy diagnosis of a rare case of ruptured ectopic pregnancy

Abstract

Ectopic pregnancy is a known complication of pregnancy, which can cause a high rate of morbidity and mortality when not diagnosed and treated quickly. A 19 years old unmarried female brought to the casualty with a history of acute abdominal pain and 2 months amenorrhoea. She was in shock on arrival, unresponsive to the treatment, and died suddenly and unexpectedly. The autopsy conducted and we found that the death was due to ruptured ectopic pregnancy.
