The need for the source of DNA that has the properties of unaffected to external conditions, also, when the body is decomposed maintain its structural properties for a long period of time which is provided by teeth tissue. These tissues provide essential evidence in criminal sciences because they reveal a number of individual features of the victim. In this study thirty samples was included to assess the quality of the isolated DNA from teeth. DNA was extracted by organic method and Syntol kit, after that the obtained DNA was quantified by real time PCR then specific human STR loci were amplified (D5S818 (115-163bp) and FGA (308-464bp)). The obtained results revealed that the kit was better for DNA extraction from teeth when compared with other method.
