The present study investigates the patterns of cadavers and attendance by insect species at the exposed cadaver of cattles more exactly buffalo calves. The collection was performed using insect net by sweeping it over the cadaver and well preserved. During the present investigation the different phases of cadavers exposed to environment in two seasons were studied which shows diversity of necrophagous insects associated with decomposition of cattle cadaver. In present investigation the diversity and immature stages of forensically important flies considered for PMI estimation which helps to analyze evidences like ADH and PIA from the cadaver. The study grasps the understanding of insect colonization, species succession, rate of development and PIA (Period of Insect Activity) to determine accurate PMI. The ADH (Accumulated degree of Hours) is calculated by using hours and temperature which is based on the rate of development of larvae of flesh fly Sarcophaga ruficornis, Chrysomya megacephala, Chrysomya rufifacies, Chrysomya albiceps, Chrysomya nigripes. Wave of colonization purposes the diversity of necrophagous fauna according to physical stages of carrion. Three Necrophagous beetles were observed and collected from cadaver in bloat stage. Abundance of members of Family Muscidae, Piophilidae and Phoridae was also recorded. The larval instars collected from the decaying cadaver were reared under natural condition. Adult stages of insects were identified by using morphological studies and characters.
