Abstract

Pulmonary edema caused by drugs is a rare clinical disease. Patients typically have noncardiogenic pulmonary edema when they initially approach. Antineoplastic medications and other drug intoxications were reported to be the etiology of a significant number of cases of pulmonary edema. Unknown pathophysiologic mechanisms underlying druginduced pulmonary edema. Some medications have been associated with pulmonary problems of different kinds, including pleural effusions, bronchospasm, pulmonary edema, and interstitial inflammation and fibrosis.

To our knowledge, pulmonary edema resulting from ingesting typical amounts of diclofenac has never been documented. The case demonstrated that Pulmonary edema could develop after using Diclofenac at therapeutic levels.
