Viscera preservation in poisoning cases or suspected poisoning cases is a recommended procedure during post mortem examination in order to conclude the cause of death. It is routinely done in almost all such cases but frequently even in confirm cases of poisoning either based on history or hospital findings the viscera report turns out to be negative. In present paper 3 such cases are discussed where in spite of all circumstantial evidences as well as clinical findings viscera report was negative. This paper is an attempt to discuss the necessity as well as futility of viscera preservation as a routine in all poisoning cases.
