Abstract

In India, nullity and dissolution of marriage have been dealt differently in different religions. There are different grounds for them, for which medical experts are often called upon to prove or disprove in the court of law. Many Doctors are unaware of this subject properly. Henceforth, this paper stresses the subject, so far as their defitions, types and different grounds as per Indian laws, are cocerned, vividly in a simple language, so that any medical men can know it properly while examining the case. These are all in commenusurate with the Hindu Marriage Act-1955 and Special Marriage Act-1954, Indian Divorce Act-1869, Indian Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act-1936 and Muslim Laws.
