A retrospective clinical study of 100 cases of Viperine snake bite was done whose clotting time was > 10 min. The grading of envenomation was done as per the clinical features and coagulopathy. Maximum incidence of snake bite was in the young adult males most common during monsoons and in the lower limb. Local pain was present in all cases, haematuria was the most common bleeding manifestation. We found that Moderate bolus dose followed by intermittent low bolus dose of Polyvalent ASV was safe and effective. We also found that the dosage of ASV was directly proportional to the severity and duration of envenomation.
