Prashad – Links series of murders

A series of murder of the truck drivers were recorded at Bhopal as well as surrounding districts and states like M.P. & Gujarat. The modus operendi of all the murders was identical. The suspected accused was arrested with a packet of sweet and white powder in a glass bottle. The powder and prashad were sent to our laboratory for chemical analysis. The presence of lorazepam was identified in sweet, while powder was of pure lorazepam. On interrogation, on these lines, it was narrated by the accused that they were involved in the murders and rape in many places. The cases are described in detail in this paper.
