Abstract

A case of head injury died due to septicemia. The viscera analysis of this case gave blood alcohol level 63.5 mg/100 ml. This case is discussed with literature review in such situations. Alcohol level after 20 mg per 100 ml. becomes a matter of concern as it usually signifies antemortem consumption in normal cases. In this case it is highlighted that blood alcohol level can go up to 63.5 mg/100 ml in septicemia with super added effect of decomposition in routine visceral examination.
