Abstract

Alchoholic beverages are widely consumed all over the world and “drinking” has come to be accepted as a social custom and because of its inebriant action the consumer can commit acts which are not legal or social. Since alcohol affects the acquired reflexes, a person's competancy of driving vehicle is greatly affected by even small amounts of alchohol which do not cause' acute toxicity or show any outward apparent signs of abnormality in the person. This is a very important aspect of alcoholism and is being discussed in this article.

Consumption of large amounts of alcohol may totally knock out a person out of his mental balance and many crimes are committed only because of wine (Alchohol) is one of the three “W”s supposed to be responsible for all or most of the criminal acts, the other two “W”s being wealth and woman.
